Tragic End to the Charleston Furniture Store Fire

On Monday, June 18, 2007, Charleston, SC firefighters were battling a fire that destroyed the local Sofa Super Store.

The fire broke out about 7pm in the warehouse, forcing officials to close off nearby roadways. The fire at the Charleston furniture store was still blazing six hours after the first call.

A salesman from a nearby car dealership said he saw firefighters rescue four people from the building.
